I’ve noticed that Firefox 3 is insanely slow loading web pages on localhost when using the ASP.NET Development Server (based on Cassini). Today something snapped in my head and I felt compelled to figure out what was wrong. few seconds plus a search engine revealed a simple solution: In in the Firefox address bar, type about:config and hit Enter. Click the " I’ll be careful, I promise! " button. In the Filter box, type network.dns.disableIPv6. That fixed the problem instantly for me. What makes gives them killer power is that they speak to a secret belief held by many people (not just managers) that teams gold-plate development and create products with more than is needed. This request “ [link] ” returns only product 11 to 15 ordered by the product name. Having the ASP.NET Web API as a REST service returning data is kind of nice but to be efficient on the wire we don’t want to return more data that required only to discard it in the client.
