Turn Default Upload Overwrite Off in WSS 3.0
and MOSS 2007, but sometimes you may want to change this default. MOSS junkie has a post on how to change that default. By default the Overwrite checkbox in Upload.aspx is checked in WSS 3.0 But his solution has the downside of having to modify one of the standard application pages which is unsupported and may be overwritten by a upgrade. So how do we change the default without modifying upload.aspx? Once again the controls in the default masterpage can help us. This time it's the AdditionalPageHead delegate we can use.

Another discovery at ACCU conference "Bicycle repair workshop"
In one of his books Gerry Weinberg ( Secrets of Consulting I think) compared problems in companies to moss. In the dark, moss grows and becomes bigger. Exposed to light moss dies. Something else I discovered at the ACCU conference: Bicycle Repair Workshop. Should I name to originator? Or should I let her live in quite anonymity? Perhaps I should actually seek permission to talk about this here, but then was it not Picasso who said “great artists steal.” rdquo; (No I did ask permission.) First the name: its a straight take from Monty Python.
