| The Best from DevelopMentor | MORE | - About logins and searches as resources
A reader posted a question in my blog post about REST services and URL’s about modeling search and login as a resource. About using [link] to search for books with robots This one is a little harder and depends on you point of view. would argue that search is another action and not a resource so it should not be part of the URL. Maybe we use the [link] URL with a search method header, more about HTTP methods in another blog post. or a query string like [link] to indicate we want to search for books about robots. Book GetBook( int id). {. The Problem Solver - Monday, July 18, 2011 - Maurice de Beijer: Querying RavenDB databases

So for example: [link] Points to a specific book identified by 123 (whatever that might mean). link] Points to the collection of books. link] Points to a collection of books authored by Douglas Adams. For example: [link] This would search the book collection for books about robots. But searching is an operation so I believe that this should be modeled using the [link] URL and either add a filter using either query parameter or an HTTP header. When designing and building REST services the URL’s used take on a rather important part. Enjoy! The Problem Solver - Thursday, July 14, 2011 - 10 things to know about Kanban software development
6) There are currently no books on Kanban software development. ve read this book and I’m not rushing to recommend it. Actually, I just discovered that at the moment this blog appears on the first page in Google if you search for “Kanban software development.” For my previous description of Kanban see Making sense of Kanban (and some doubts) , Agile and Lean - the same but different , Notes on a Kanban software development experience and there are some other pieces too if you search the blog 1) Kanban software development originated by David Anderson. started on this road almost a decade ago in 2002, and I have to search back to around that time to identify with the concepts and stories in the podcast. Let me show you an example from my own history Books written – 0 Blog Posts – 25 Tweets - 2,621Today I discovered the podcast “ This Developer’s Life ”. It’s a very differently crafted podcast. Very true to the style of "This American Life” that it’s name is borrowed from. It is more in a story telling venue, better production quality, not about API’s or even craftsmanship, but rather “common” themes to lives programmers.
